Soak it all in. This series is weird as hell. (Dastardly & Muttley #5)

This screams “EXXTREME!” AND “’90’s”. Ugh.

Panel Picks – Superheroes Are Just As Gross As You or I (Mostly You, Never Me)

C’mon Karnak! You gross. (Secret Warriors #9)

Hand infestation (Old Man Logan #31)

The REAL darkest timeline. 2099? Ugh (X-Men Blue #16)

The return of Batman 666!!! Also, it looks like his butterfly collar goes higher than his eyes, effectively cutting off his vision everywhere except right in front of him…

I want to go to there

Panel Picks – and with the dinosaur on drums

A few covers, a fantasy band, a floor that promises not to eat you, a winery in Hell, a shocking reveal..lots of neat stuff going on in comics lately. Here’s what caught my eye:

I’d go see this band in a heartbeat

I just like this bonkers design

Yo! God’s dead, let’s snatch his ride

I am ashamed & embarrassed that I read this comic but this is too good to ignore

Am 100% on board with all Batman rogues gallery redesigns, especially ones that are this good.

Maestro fixin’ to turn old man logan into a greasy pile of ben-gay & metal bones

Panel Picks: Ol’ Blood & Guts

Guess the hot new thing in comics this past month was out & out ultra violence. Check after the jump for what people lost which body parts in some of the comic’s biggest mainstream titles. God speed!

Eltingville Club #1

You should really, really be reading this book. For this homage, if nothing else.

The United States of Murder, Inc #1

Definitely hooked on the new Bendis & Oeming book about what appears to be how the United States ceded the east coast of the country to the Mafia. With this stark, issue closing image, now maybe we know why.

Thor God of Thunder #21

All the Galactus barf you can handle.

Panel Picks: The Dead & The Dying

The one Marvel character I’ve never seen outside of a Capcom fighting game shows himself in Mighty Avengers #2 and looks…AWESOME. How are street level heroes going to deal with a pan-dimensional nightmare? With punching, probably.

Not a great week for upper echelon Marvel characters, as Thor just gets the taste slapped out his mouth…

…whereas Black Bolt gets chokeslammed by a gigantic purple death god.

This book is terrible! But the cover is pretty sweet.

Then in some other timeline/continuity, Thor pays homage to the 1968 USA Olympic team
