Hey! It’s the trailer for Elysium, a/k/a Neill Blomkamp’s new movie that is inexcusably not District 10

Obviously I will watch this movie and obviously I will enjoy it. But am I alone in thinking nothing about the trailer looks innovative or even interesting? A future dystopia, featuring a wildly unfair class system? SHOCKING. And Matt Damon’s exoskeleton looks like he superglued an erector set to his skin. Worst of all, this is text of the official synopsis:

Set in the year 2159, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.

What’s so offensive about that, you ask? Oh, nothing. Just that this movie cost more than the GDP of most countries, yet no one thought the worldwide press release needed to be proofread by a native English speaker. A man-made space station? No shit. In contrast to all the naturally occuring space stations cluttering up our orbit? Also, the year 2159 is a time, not a place. That means it’s a when, not a where, morons.

Sigh. See ya at the movies, suckers!
