With the demise of Chinatown Fair last year (the real one anyway, not this crapulent new version), arcades in New York have basically dwindled to zero. Sure, there’s Barcade if you want to trek out to Brooklyn (pro: tremendous beer selection. cons: no games outside of Punch-Out!! I really want to play). But never fear; Two Bit’s Retro Arcade is finally open for business in New York’s Lower East Side. Even better? There are actual games I want to play alongside the booze I want to drink.
I’ll have a more in-depth later this week; I’m scheduled to check out the place after work on Thursday. Time to practice my Street Fighter II: Champion Edition skills.
