Killer is Dead:
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance:
Of the two, I’d be more inclined to pick up Killer is Dead, even though I still have nighmarish flashbacks to Shadows of the Damned (Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda51 were responsible for that, in addition to Killer7 and No More Heroes). I’m really picking up a Golgo 13 vibe from Killer is Dead, whereas I’m picking up a super-spazzy button mashing vibe from Metal Gear Rising. Which makes sense, as even though MGR:R has the Metal Gear name attached, it was actually produced by Platinum Games, the studio behind Bayonetta (meh) and Vanquish (SUPER AWESOME SLIDING AND SHOOTING ACTION).
I’m pretty interested to see how a non-Hideo Kojima Metal Gear game turns out. You can find out for yourself on 02/19/13; Killer is Dead currently has no release date.
Those of you inclined to pick up Raiden’s Big Adventure who also happen to have deep pockets will then absolutely thrill to see this, the Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Limited Edition:
