Are You Still Playing Draw Something? You Might Be The Only One.

Participation has dropped precipitously.  When was the last time you played it? Zynga must overjoyed with these numbers in lieu of having just bought the company for over $200 million.  I wonder if Draw Something = Zynga as MySpace = News Corp.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Studio Closing

38 Studios, Curt Schilling’s game studio & producer of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, shut its doors effective immediately today.  Even after moving over 300,000 units the first month of release & talk of an MMO, looks like they weren’t able to pay back the $75 million they owed the state of Rhode Island.  (Who knew states got into the funding video games business?)

While this means that there’s probably no plans for any KoA:R DLC on the way, but maybe I can find a cheap copy of it soon.  The demo was actually really fun, especially if you like smashing boxes over & over. WHICH I DO.

Poor Curt Schilling, though in the end I guess poor Rhode Island.  That crummy state* just can’t catch a break.

*I don’t know anything about Rhode Island.  It’s most likely very lovely.

Astonishing X-Men #50 – All this talk about Northstar getting married is making this one a must own. Who’s your pick to interrupt the wedding and spill the beans on the Northstar’s infidelities?

Batman Incorporated #1 – Grant Morrison has been on my I love his books/I don’t understand his books list for a while. Time will tell which category this falls into.
